How well are you taking care of yourself?
Do we really understand what it means to take care of ourselves? What does that look like? What does it feel like?
How many of us are stressed, burned out, sad, unfulfilled and just not happy about so many things?
I would venture to say a large majority and my clients are speaking the same sentiments. Are you one of these people?
Do you pay attention to those nudges that are calling you to Self Care?
Your Higher Self is always directing you to take time for Self Care. Maybe it can mean that you need to take a nap, drink some water, eat something healthy, walk away from a person or situation, or take a few minutes to do some deep, replenishing breathing. When we pay attention, take action, our energy then shifts immediately. We feel better because we took time for us, cared for and nurtured ourselves and we begin to believe that we are worthwhile and that feels great.
When we ignore our needs of Self Care, we become more tired, sick, hopeless, sad and feelings of unworthiness creep in. We then fall into a cycle of always putting our needs last and hence the repetitiveness of feeling unworthy.
Spirit has impressed upon me to take even more time for Self Care, to nurture my body, mind and spirit. I am reminded that my body is an instrument that, when well tuned, emanates greater harmony. My spirit is like the music of a grand piano and I am being asked to keep this piano in tune. I know for me, when I pay attention and follow the guidance, I always have more energy, inspiration, clarity on any issues, smile and laugh more. I feel alive and healthy! What more could I ask for?
So, when I am nudged by Spirit to nap, eat a certain food, go for a walk in nature, climb a tree, lay down in the snow, dance, sing, play, call a friend, watch something that makes me laugh, have a body treatment, sit in silence, I rarely hesitate any more. I know the end result is worth it in every way. Self Care is the way to body, soul and spirit health!
